Ontario Spray Foam Course Information

Jump to Course
Our Central Canada and Ontario Spray Foam Course is offered periodically throughout the year. Depending on the number of students, spray foam training may be offered in Ontario or at the Enerlab headquarters in Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, QC. All spray foam installers require licensing to buy and spray polyurethane foam in accordance with CAN/ULC S705.2 Certification. Urethane Foam Consultants is the third party licensure for Enerlab's spray foam, Enerthane Eco. Should you wish to receive specialized training in polyurea protective coatings (Platinum Liners and RoofArmor) or training in concrete lifting and leveling (ProLift), be sure to connect with your local Polysource rep for more information.

Course Rationale

Applicable Standard: CAN/ULC-S705.2 (Standard for Thermal Insulation Spray Applied Rigid Polyurethane Foam, Medium Density – Installation)

Affiliated Quality Assurance Provider (QAP): Urethane Foam Consultants (UFC)

Delivery Partner: Polysource Industries Inc.

Designed in strict alignment with the CAN/ULC-S705.2 national standard, this course bridges the gap between building science theory and mechanical execution for medium-density spray foam application in Canada. Delivered in partnership with Polysource Industries Inc. and certified through Urethane Foam Consultants (UFC), this program provides the mandatory educational framework required for legal licensing under the National Building Code. By blending classroom theory with live, hands-on field application, the training ensures installers are fully compliant, safety-conscious, and mechanically self-reliant on-site.

Core Learning Objectives & Value:

Regulatory Compliance: Meets all CAN/ULC standards, municipal codes, and site logbook (Daily Work Record) documentation requirements to mitigate contractor liability.

Chemical & Material Mastery: Teaches fluid dynamics, substrate moisture testing, and environmental monitoring (dew point, relative humidity) to optimize chemical yield and prevent delamination.

Mechanical Competency: Provides direct, practical experience configuring, operating, and troubleshooting high-pressure plural-component systems (like Graco Reactor platforms), transfer pumps, and spray guns.

On-Site Safety: Focuses on job-site containment strategies, proper personal protective equipment (PPE) deployment, and fresh-air supplied respirator protocols.
